The entire theater burst into applause and even cheers.
She had done something right.
Celes took a deep breath as the conductor took his place in front of the orchestra.
You’ll be fine, she told herself. You’ve done this show hundreds of times before. You can do it now. She wondered just how many people would come to see her. It was a lot to ask of her friends, especially those who lived in other worlds, but she was determined to say her goodbyes in the only way she knew how.
The lights dimmed, and the music began. The opening fanfare was so rousing, so familiar to her ears. It was like a battle cry. A smile found its way to her face, but she wanted to burst into tears. This was the last time that she would hear this music for a very long time.
Um, everyone?
My final performance at the Jidoor Opera House is tonight. I would appreciate it if you could all come. The entire balcony is reserved. There’s room for everyone.

That was material that I had written myself and had put time into, and I’m not very happy that it was deleted without my prior knowledge.
